Color high-speed video system for multi-spectral applications.

The Photron FASTCAM Spectra is an ultra- high-speed color video recording system with the ability to record up to 4,500 full frames per second (or up to 40,500 partial frames per second) for immediate playback. This recording system contains three high-speed sensors that couple with three individual image intensifiers. Interference filters can be added to the front of the intensifiers to isolate a narrow band spectral wavelength for analysis. This unique design allows users to not only capture the high-speed images but the characteristic temperature distribution as well. The FASTCAM Spectra is an ideal system for applications such as flame studies, laser research and florescence imaging.

  • Exceptionally high recording rates of 4,500 full frames and up to 40,500 partial frames per second.

  • Pixel resolution of 256 x 256 on three NMOS sensors for precise color recordings.

  • Built-in image intensifier features exposure rates as low as 20 nanoseconds.

  • Large frame storage capability up to 8,192 full frames.

  • A single lens is used to image to the three NMOS sensors.
